Abstract: It is necessary to refer to the feature of researcher's job stress in considering the countermeasure for job stress of the librarians, especially that is called an advanced knoweledge-work. The rewards from work and the job stress relaxation factors such as job satisfaction and control are suggested to be more important than job stress reinforcement factors such as quantitative and qualitative work-loads from a series of investigation research results in our Tsukuba Research Park City. It has been suggested to give the huge influence with individual cognitive style for the relaxation factor by the advanced knoweledge-worker who doesn't decrease the workload. Therefore, the advanced knoweledge-worker like the librarian should be considered counter measures for which it would appeal to an individual cognitive style of SOC (Sense of Coherence) in the future to be requested.

Abstract: In Japan, the number of workers who take sick leave by mental health problems increases as the work environment changing. The same problem happens among workers in library.
This problem has various negative impacts for the work environment. Especially when sick-leave workers return to work, it is very difficult because we have to take into consideration not only sick-leave workers condition but also work environment which accept them.
Various changes in library such as increased business, change of employment status, or technical innovation are great burden to the workers. The important thing to support sick-leave workers is that understanding various stress factors and trying to minimize them, and returning to work gradually; it is same as the other work environment.
