Abstract :It's now time to selectively use, according to its intended purpose, databases which disorderly continue to increse. At present, anybody can easily retrieve information. Therefore, we should have two capabilities, one of which can plan a retrieval and the other of which can evaluate information outputted by the retrieval instead of giving importance to the retrieval technique according to a manual. Those capabilities are given by each insight and cost-consciousness.

Learning the Patent Law

Abstract : It is very useful for a patent searcher to learn the Patent Law. I would like to deal with part of the Patent Law through conversations in the Intellectual Property Department of a certain company. I will pick up herein publishing the Patent Gazette and extinguishment of the Patent Right because of failing to pay the annual maintenance fee.

Brief study on how to get knowledge about subject of patent information retrieval

Abstract : I'm sure that sufficient preparation brings a good conclusion.
In the field of patent information retrieval as well, it is important to collect useful information about subject before an interview to a client or starting retrieval in order to acquire good results.
In this paper it is reported that what kind of tools are used by patent information researchers in field to get knowledge about subject and some points wich I think important for interview to a client are added.

Major company research firms provide databases of private companies information. We can access these databases easily. And, there are fee free web sites for searching company annual reports, that have useful, effective function to search cross over many kinds of documents.
It is very important on business to collect company information. This paper is introduction of basic search method, commercial databases, and fee free web sites about company information.
