Yoshihiro GOTO
(Institute of Library and Information Science, University of Tsukuba (1-2, Kasuga, Tsukuba-shi, Ibaraki 305-8550))

Abstract : In the digital age, people tend to use databases of articles of papers, and they respect the reports of the facts, not the reports of the values. The articles on the databases release from value judgments whereas the articles on the papers are restrained by them. So the articles on the databases contribute the promotion of the interactivity between the sender and the reciever of communications. But the articles on the databases lose the contexts of the articles. The reason why the clipping works exist in the digital age relates to the estimation for the contexts and the values.
